The Best Singers Do THIS To Sing High Notes With Power

Feb 15, 2026

"What are the best naturally talented singers doing...and how can I get my voice to do that?"

That was the question that changed everything for me.

Because before that, I was just “learning vocal technique" and wasn't really getting anywhere.

Breath support.
Relax your jaw
Don’t reach for notes
Bridge into head voice.
Don't sing from your throat, sing from your diaphragm.

I did all of it.  But I still wasn't any closer to doing what the singers I admired could do.

(The scariest thing was when I would pay for singing lessons only to be told to do the exact things I had always been doing, and that "this time it would work" even though nothing was different!)

The best singers can sing effortlessly, easily and spontaneously without having to think about their voice or their technique.  Almost like they can't make a mistake.

So instead of asking, “What is proper technique?” I started asking:

What are they doing that I’m not?  And how can I create steps reverse engineered from the top, down to my level?

That question took me down a completely different path.

In this video, I break down one of those singers who helped me learn how to sing in the high range with full power and stability.

Specifically:

  • How he cruises up into the D5 range in full voice, without the voice becoming thin or shaky.

  • Why his larynx doesn’t shoot up.

  • Why he doesn’t need to modify vowels in the upper range.

  • And why the traditional advice of “bridging into head voice” or “crying into mix” will never produce the sound the best singers are doing.

What I eventually discovered is this:

There are two completely different vocal configurations you can train.  (Watch the video and you'll see what I mean)

Most singers spend their entire life in one of them.  The naturally powerful singers are using the other that I show in the video.

And once I felt that second configuration for the first time…

My voice changed forever.

High notes stopped feeling like survival.
Soft notes stopped feeling unstable.
The vocal break disappeared.
My speaking voice started linking directly into my singing voice.

It took me over a decade to figure this out, but it doesn't have to for you.

I work privately with singers who are done guessing and spinning their wheels for years.

Singers who don’t want more random exercises or "tips".

Singers who want to build a system that actually leads to the voice they truly desire.
